Join Dave Mattacks in the studio at The Hive Rooms on Tuesday 16th August for the ultimate studio experience day, an immersive and hands-on opportunity to get inside the head of perhaps the most successful British studio drummer of all time. This exclusive event, limited to just 10 places, will no doubt introduce you to new recording techniques as well as honing your approach to playing songs in the studio.

You'll have the opportunity to be recorded by a professional engineer on two tracks, specially selected by Dave, who will be on hand to guide you and offer his advice learned from many decades of experiences with many of music's greatest recording artists and engineers.

Dave Mattacks has enjoyed a simply incredible career and is credited on albums by legendary artists such as Paul McCartney, Elton John, George Harrison, Jimmy Page, Everything But The Girl, Sandy Denny, Chris Rea, XTC, Jethro Tull, Joan Armatrading, Brian Eno, Nick Drake, Peter Green, John Gorka, John Martyn, The Proclaimers, Cat Stevens & Loudon Wainwright.. The list goes on & on!

Key to Dave’s success is his sensitive approach to the serving the music at all times and also his uncanny ability to get the right sound the artist desires. Dave is a well of knowledge on the subject of drum selection & tuning and also cymbal selection & application.
